Measurement Olympics

The always inspiring Amy Lemons posted an amazing measurement activity on her blog. I love to do a "fun" activity with my kids every Friday because unfortunately Friday is usually TEST day. This one was educational and fun so it was perfect!

The students wrote in their math journals the different ways to play with their PomPom. They were asked to do each one three times and measure it in centimeters then discuss how that measurement would look different if they used a meter stick.

 They were cracking up that the wind would blow the pompom back into their faces. Whatever makes them smile! :)
